Teakster, a visionary in the realm of Islamic art, has been reshaping its landscape for over a decade. His work, a blend of Islamic artistic traditions and Western design, mirrors his dual identity as a British Muslim. Through his creations, which span from intricate paintings to large-scale murals, he delves into themes of spirituality, diversity, and harmony. His work transcends boundaries, challenges stereotypes, and encourages dialogue between different cultures and faiths. One of the leading digital Muslim artists, and a brandalism activist, he is shaping our understanding of contemporary Islamic art today.
Kareemgraphy began his journey in Arabic calligraphy during his early years in Medina, dedicating years to mastering traditional calligraphy. Combining his artistry with 13 years of experience at the world-renowned advertising agency Leo Burnett in Dubai and Doha, he creates striking works where letters merge with modern art. Kareemgraphy passionately employs his art to promote both calligraphy and graffiti. His impactful work has earned recognition from global media outlets. In 2020, he founded Kagrart in Calicut, India, a center dedicated to the training and promotion of art and calligraphy. Kareemgraphy has led numerous workshops in cities such as Istanbul, Egypt, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar University, Indonesia, and across India.
